Prof. Acosta gives workshop on concepts of physics at the middle school level for science teachers. The workshop was given in room AC-336 (ISMul) at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo.

During the workshop, the variables of motion were discussed in order to explore and understand the applications of the laws of motion. Using the second law of motion, an activity was carried out in which speed, acceleration, and force were calculated. After learning about forces, the Law of Gravity and the concepts of energy such as work, power, and the two types of energy: kinetic and potential were discussed. In the afternoon, the topics of electromagnetism were presented with emphasis on basic circuits, in series, and parallel. Finally, circuits were assembled and analysed.
