Associate of Technology in Chemical Engineering

The Associate Degree program offers students the opportunity to complete a two-year program of employment-ready study. Students who wish to do so may continue on to the Bachelor’s degree. The program emphasizes the application of theory through an intensive program of laboratory experiences.

One of the founders of the program is Ing. Zaida Pérez in 1974.

Students from the program acquiring skills regarding wet chemistry and organic chemistry.

Curricular sequence Cohort until 2017-2018

Curricular sequence Cohort from 2018-2019

Fun Fact: The Associate Degree was funded in 1974 by prof. Zaida Perez.

Mission

To offer and maintain an up-to-date Chemical Engineering Technology program that provides the concepts and technical skills necessary for graduates to integrate into the work environment and offer services in the areas of manufacturing, maintenance and operation of the regulated industry.

Objectives

Several years after graduation, graduates of the program are expected to:

  • Apply technical knowledge in the area of industrial chemical processes.
  • Demonstrate technical skills required in the operation and maintenance of an industrial chemical process and in the area of manufacturing.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
