Prof. Mónica Medina gives workshop on the periodic table for science teachers at high school level. The workshop was given in room AC-336 (ISMul) at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo.
During the workshop, the periodic table was studied as a valuable information tool. Emphasis was placed on the order of the elements in the periodic table, the groups, periods and blocks. Work was done on the structure of the atom, subatomic particles, energy levels and electronic configuration as well as some periodic properties. Finally, various activities and experiments were carried out to emphasize all these concepts.
