What happens after the collapse of the Arecibo radio telescope?
In this episode of Universo en Frecuencia, we explore the future of the Arecibo Observatory following the collapse of its iconic radio telescope in 2020. We discuss new plans to transform the space into a center for science and education, with a focus on biotechnology, astronomy, and citizen science.

We also discuss innovative ideas such as the use of smaller radio telescopes and new laser instruments, and how these initiatives could once again position Puerto Rico on the global map of scientific research.

Featured Topics:

  • The legacy of the Arecibo radio telescope
  • New technologies and scientific collaborations
  • Educational focus and citizen participation
  • Future of scientific tourism in Puerto Rico
