In this workshop, Prof. Acosta taught teachers about geosciences. From the elemental composition of the Earth, minerals, rocks, and tectonic plates, to the forces of planetary evolution. This workshop aligns with NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (SMD). The workshop included activities such as mineral and rock classification, tectonic plate mapping, and epicenter calculations. These activities expanded upon the concepts presented in the workshop.
